Chasing Glory – For the PECIT athletes, the PRISAA Regional Games 2025

The track was a battlefield, the athletes its warriors, and every stride a clash of determination and willpower. At the PRISAA Regional Games 2025, held at Caraga State University – Cabadbaran Campus on November 29, the relay teams blazed across the track, leaving a trail of triumph and resilience in their wake. Their sweat became ink, writing stories of endurance, teamwork, and unyielding passion on the pages of sports history.

Under the blazing sun, the Men’s 4x400M Relay Team stormed the track like a well-oiled machine, each runner passing the baton as if transferring a surge of electricity. With Christian Jay Evanoso, William Lumindas, Joseph Gerald Jaron, and Archie Lumacang fueling the flames of victory, they soared across the finish line, securing the Gold Medal and etching their names into the annals of athletic excellence. Every stride was a heartbeat, every exchange a promise of glory.

Not to be outdone, the Women’s 4x100M Relay Team—a quartet of power and precision—flew across the track like shooting stars. Junalyn Luardo, Mary Chris Aripal, Bea Buendia, and Mechille Pelisco synchronized their speed and strength, claiming the Gold Medal with a performance that left the crowd breathless. Each step was a note in a symphony of athleticism, their victory a crescendo of hard work and discipline, conducted by the rhythm of their pounding feet. Meanwhile, the Men’s 4x100M Relay Team, composed

of Christian Jay Evanoso, Joseph Gerald Jaron, Archie Lumacang, and Teddy Morales, ran with the speed of the wind, clinching the Silver Medal. Though just a heartbeat away from gold, their performance was a testament to teamwork and perseverance. Like a roaring tide, they surged forward, pushing the limits of human speed and spirit.

The Women’s 4x400M Relay Team also brought home Silver, a symbol of their unwavering tenacity. Junalyn Luardo, Mary Chris Aripal, Judy Ann Alejandre, and Mechille Pelisco pushed their limits, fighting through exhaustion to cross the finish line with heads held high. Their effort was a masterpiece painted with sweat and spirit, each runner a brushstroke in the grand portrait of perseverance.

Guiding these athletes to greatness were the masterminds behind their success—Coaches Eve Ruiz Banzon and Myron Mordeno, along with Trainer Christian Jay Evanoso—who shaped their talents, honed their strengths, and

fueled their hunger for victory. Their guidance was the invisible force behind every medal, their encouragement the wind beneath each athlete’s wings.

As the echoes of cheers faded into the evening sky, one truth remained unshaken: the spirit of these relay warriors was unbreakable. With hearts pounding like war drums and feet flying like arrows, they proved that in the race of champions, it is not just speed but soul that defines the victors. They did not just run; they soared, carrying the pride of their team, their coaches, and their school on their shoulders.
“Every race is more than just speed—it’s heart, teamwork, and the will to push beyond limits. We ran not just for medals, but for the pride of our team and the passion that fuels us.”
Christian Jay Evanoso
