that blended tradition and innovation. Carrying the theme “43 Years of Transformation: A
Journey of Metamorphosis Toward Greater Heights,” the event embodied the institution’s
enduring commitment to Filipino identity, academic excellence, and cultural pride.
The opening day transformed the campus into a lively pasyalan of Filipino heritage. Food stalls
offered authentic local delicacies while karaoke sessions filled the air with timeless OPM
classics, fostering camaraderie and a shared sense of pride. Students showcased their creativity
and intellect through a series of academic and artistic competitions, including skirting, fruit
carving, and a Quiz Bowl highlighting Filipino history and global achievements.Traditional skills
such as fruit carving stood proudly beside modern expressions like Esports, illustrating PECIT’s
mission to honor cultural heritage while embracing technological progress. Modern competitions
such as Esports (MLBB Tournament) and Chef Wars added a contemporary flair, symbolizing
PECIT’s harmonious balance between technology and creativity.
The second day radiated with passion, teamwork, and artistic expression. A colorful Parade of
Unity, led by faculty and students in discipline-themed attire, echoed the spirit of Filipino fiestas
as it concluded at the Capitol Covered Court. A Thanksgiving Mass followed, paying tribute to
the institution’s founders and celebrating values of bayanihan (community unity) and
pagmamalasakit (compassion).
During the keynote addresses, VP Ma. Cecilia Z. Matillano emphasized the importance of
harmonizing innovation with tradition, urging the PECIT community to “shape futures without
forgetting our roots.” Founder Engr. Romeo Lopez Jaena Zerudo delivered an emotional
retrospective, reflecting on PECIT’s transformation into a beacon of education and progress.

Storytelling, and Singing Competitions that showcased students’ eloquence, artistry, and passion.
As night fell, the excitement reached new heights with the much-anticipated Ms. PECIT 2025
