August 14, 2025 — The Watch Guild successfully held its orientation for aspiring campus journalists, welcoming new members with engaging activities and informative sessions. The event highlighted the organization’s mission to uphold the ethics of journalism, inform the public, and provide a platform for free and responsible discussion.
During the program, the editorial board introduced themselves and presented the structure of the publication, including key roles such as the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Section Editors. New recruits also shared their personal introductions, reasons for joining, and expectations as part of the Watch Guild family.
The orientation further discussed the rights and privileges of editors and staff, including scholarships, tuition discounts, skill development opportunities, and freedom of expression. Members were also reminded of disciplinary measures to ensure accountability and professionalism.
